FAQs

The cheese & Subscription

What can I expect in my box?

Each month I’ll send you approx. 600 - 800g of delicious cheese, plus a printed newsletter and guide to what you’re munching on. Usually this will consist of 4 - 4 cheese portions, and occasionally the odd cheese related treat that I’m confident you’ll love. Please let me know if you have any allergies.

How should I store (and demolish!) my cheese once it arrives?

In the unlikely event that it’s not eaten immediately upon opening, keep it loosely wrapped and if possible, in an airtight container in your fridge. Roughly speaking your soft and blue cheese should be eaten within the week, hard cheeses can last longer at around 2 weeks - sometimes even longer!

Always take your cheese out of the fridge to warm up for a while before you tuck in; it’s a personal choice, but I would recommend 1 hour for hard cheeses and 2 hours for your soft cheeses.

What if I’m vegetarian, or have any allergies?

Though a lot of the cheese I select will be vegetarian by nature, please do drop me an email with any special requests or allergies.

I am looking to introduce a vegan subscription option as well, I’ll keep you posted in my mailouts!

Do you provide one-off gift boxes or hampers for special occasions?

Right now, as I’m still building the Club, I can offer corporate orders of approx. 10+ gift packaged hampers at around £50p/h (including a bottle of red or white wine).

I'll also be offering seasonal gift hampers throughout the year (for example, Valentines Day, Easter and Christmas).

Can I pause my rolling subscription?

Of course, just drop me a message (chloe@trackse7.com) if you need to pause things for a holiday. Nobody wants to see a lonely box of cheese growing old on a doorstep.

Delivery

What’s the score with delivery?

Delivery costs are standard for 95% of UK addresses, I’ll let you know if we need additional carrier pigeons to get your package to you.

Once I’ve packaged your cheese in a temperature controlled box and waved it off on a next day delivery service, it can last outside of a fridge for about 48 hours. So if you’re not home, the courier can leave it somewhere safe.

Is the packaging environmentally friendly?

The box and cheese papers are recyclable, and the gel cold packs are reusable.

Why is my cheese packed in wool?

You may have noticed that your cheese is delivered in wool wrap; it’s 100% real wool and if you rip the packaging open you’ll be able to smell it! I’m working with a truly wonderful packaging company called woolcool.com who provide sustainable eco-friendly temperature controlled food packaging solutions - every aspect of your box is fully recyclable. If you head over to the FAQ page on their website, you can find out more - including inventive ways in which to reuse your wool.

What’s Tracks?

You may hear me talking about Tracks a lot...what is it? It’s a much loved bar, record shop, restaurant - and since adapting in COVID times - a hugely successful grocery store serving the Forest Gate community. They’ve been kind enough to let me use their kitchens for ‘the Club’, so that I can prepare your boxes in an NCASS accredited environment. I look forward to collaborating with them on in-house and virtual cheese & wine events in the near future!
